The videos to the left were created for when I interned with The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults during the summer of 2013.  I completed all stages of pre-production, production, and post-production for these videos.

Videos

The videos above provide a breif glimpse at two different trips I went on with my class of Media Fellows.  The first video shows  when we spent 2 weeks in Los Angeles meeting with professionals and getting exposure to the television and entertainment industry, all while filming our travels.  The second video provides a small preview of a semester abroad in Winchester, England spent with my class of Media Fellows. We spent 3 months enrolled at the University of Winchester and between traveling and having fun, also shot a documentary about millenial aspirations.  I shot a large majority of both of these and they were edited by the faculty of High Point University's School of Communications.

The Ides of March- 48 Hour Film Contest Submission

Tasked with writing, shooting, and editing a film in 48 hours, we were given four criteria that we had to follow in the video:

1. A shot of the "Spielberg Face"

2. A prop - Duct tape

3. A sound effect - Thunder

4. Specific dialog - "Damn, where's the chocolate - it's critical that we get this right." Our film took first place in High Point University's Semi-Annual 48 Hour Film Festival

My team included Michael Shield, Whitney Yount, Kyle Berube, and Steven Michael Smith

This video was created by High Point University about my internship with The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults during the summer of 2013.  It is featured on thier YouTube channel with other student internship profiles.

This video was created by High Point University during my internship with Discovery Communications- Animal Planet during the summer of 2014.  It is featured on thier YouTube channel with other student internship profiles and is shown to guests on campus.

During the winter of 2014-15 I volunteered to help The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults produce the video for their annual Blue Jeans & Bowties Ball, honoring those who will be presented with awards. I shot, directed and edited the video, which was shown at the 700 person gala. This involved coordinating scheduling with about a dozen people in multiple locations in a very short period of time.

During our semester at the University of Winchester, the HPU Media Fellows students worked to create a video to show you how to survive study abroad in the UK.
I helped to direct, shoot, while in England, and oversee the editing of this promotional piece upon our return.

As Vice President of High Point University's National Broadcasting Society I was in charge of running the 48 Hour Film Festival with the rest of the executive team. During the competition weekend, the President and I shot and edited this trailer to show what the competition is like.

During the spring of 2015  I interned for Foothills Brewing in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. My supervisor created the storyboard and oversaw the filming. I shot and edited this in a short time period in order for it to be ready in time to play during the opening of their new tasting room. This video plays on a loop on the wall.
